How To Download ITR Acknowledgement

ITR Acknowledgement is the proof of filing the Income Tax Return by any person. ITR Acknowledgement is required to be submitted to various Authorities, Banks and other entities as a proof that you have filed your Income Tax Return.

Apart from the ITR Acknowledgement, you will also be able to download your Income Tax Return in PDF format by following the same procedure given below.

We are giving below the step by step procedure to download the ITR Acknowledgement and ITR from the Income Tax Website:

  • Login to your Income Tax Account on the Income Tax E-Filing portal by visiting the following link:

https://eportal.incometax.gov.in/iec/foservices/#/login

  • Enter your User ID and Password. Default User ID is always PAN unless you have created some other different User ID
  • After successful login to your account, when you come on the Dashboard, navigate on “E-FILE” and go to-“Income Tax Return” button.
  • On “Income Tax Return” button, you will see the “View Filed Returns”
  • Click on the “View Filed Returns”. When you click on this button, you will come on the page which will show you year-wise data of all the Income Tax Returns filed by you in online mode till date.
  • On this Page, you will see the 2 Options available for download. First option will be-“Download Form”. If you click on this option, your entire Income Tax Return shall be downloaded in PDF format.
  • The other option which you will see is-“Download Receipt”. If you click on this option, your ITR Acknowledgement shall be downloaded in PDF format.
  • Since your ITR filing data is available on this page year wise, you have to go to the particular year for which you need to download the ITR or ITR Acknowledgement.
